  2. I repelled on the second day and it was do awesome! After watching Hannah go on the first day i wasn't as scared because she said it want bad at all. However it was still super nerve wracking. The scariest part for me was letting go of the railing. Once i got past that it was totally fine and really fun.

  3. I repelled on second day and it was fun!! well for the 1st try I lost my control and being hanging but that was not the scariest part that I thought. the scariest part for me was to go over the pole and stand to the other side. When i start for 2nd time and going down i really had fun time to do this(*^_^*)

  4. Looking at someone repel and actually repelling is completely different. When I was about to repel down, it was not what I thought it was going to feel like. I was scared to repel down at the moment, but as I got closer to the floor it got less scary. At the same time I still had fun repelling! Maybe after a second time I'll start to feel more comfortable.

  5. I was the first person to go in my group and I was really excited. I really wasn't nervous at all. Then I had to let go. That was where the fear kicked in. It was really helpful that Alaina (my balayer) locked me in because I felt like I was a lot safer then. After I got going it was fine again. Having already rappelled helped me a lot the second day because I knew what the rappellers were going through and it was easier to talk them through it.

  6. I was the first person to go in my group and my group did really well. We all talked when we were setting up and that made me feel a lot safer going. I really enjoyed repelling and can't wait till I can go again!!

  7. I haven't rappelled yet but I'm not really afraid because I feel like my group knows what we're doing. It's kinda reassuring to have Bailey in our group too.

  8. I haven't rappelled yet but my group is great and we're having a lot of fun! I was a little nervous on the first day because I wasn't 100% sure what was going to happen but I was confident my group members and I would keep each other safe. It also helps that I'm familiar with systems like the one we're using in class so I know it'll work. I'm more excited than nervous for my turn to go down because I trust my group so much!

  9. I was the second person to go in my group and I was really excited and ready to go. Once I got over the railing, I was surprised because I was scared to let go of it. Letting go of the railing meant I had to completely rely on myself and that freaked me out a little even though I knew I had 3 people backing me up. Overall i thought it was really fun and I can't wait to go again!

  10. I got to rappel on Thursday, and I had so much fun! It was way different than I thought it was going to be. As soon as I let go of the railing, I realized that I was holding myself up. I felt a sense of accomplishment when I reached the bottom knowing that I did it by myself (with a little help from my group of course!). I can't wait to rappel again!

  11. I think rappelling was kinda frustrating in the beginning because we didn't really know how to do it. But now that we've done it a few times and we're getting more used to it I think it's so cool. I feel like everything we've been doing is finally falling into place and I'm so excited to rappel myself!

  12. I'm really scared to repel. It's a little reassuring having bailey in my group but I'm still not sure I'm going to be able to do it. -erin peiss

    1. I second that.
Upside down is where it's at though, to be fair.

  17. I didn't get to go until this week since I missed the second day this week and then waited an extra day this week since I have stitches in my back. I finally got to go yesterday! I wasn't sure how easy it would be with my knee, but it went really well and I had tons of fun! I went twice yesterday and once today. So much fun!

  18. I actually really enjoy rappelling. The part that is the scariest is when you are forced to let go and you have to trust that your classmates will hold you in mid-air. After you let go, the rest is really not that scary, but actually fun. Jumping off the wall is fun too!

  19. When I first rappelled, I was terrified and hesitant to let go of the railing because I was scared that something would snap and I would plummet to my death. Luckily, that didn't happen. I think the scariest part for me is just getting off of the ledge, but everything else is super fun! After getting used to it all, I think rappelling is really exciting! However, rappelling face-first still sounds just absolutely frightening, but who knows, maybe I'll gain the courage to do that someday!
