  1. I learned this first semester how to open up more and be comfortable in my own skin. I learned that opening up isn't always a bad thing; it's helped me realize that there are people out there that really do care about a stranger, or in my case a classmate. Mr. H, you've done a great job making sure our class has been safe physically, emotionally, and mentally. one thing you should work on is I think you should join more of the team building activity's. I feel like as a class we're ok but student to teacher there's something missing.

  2. This semester has taught me a lot about learning how to quickly build up trust with those who were strangers to me before this year. H, I think you have done a really good job of pushing people who feel like they can't do it. For example, people in my rappelling group that at first didn't feel comfortable with it, you helped guide them through the process and encouraged them, and ultimately they went down the wall. I don't really think you need to work on anything because you already are involved, communicate with us, and push us further in every activity.

  3. I've learned to give my trust to people a little faster than I normally would, but they have still earned my trust. To H: I think that you do a really good job with making sure everyone is safe and comfortable but at the same time pushing them to the next level. As long as you keep doing what you've been doing, we'll be in for a great second semester.

  4. I have learned to be more open and to listen more. Also to be more considerate, and not speed through life. As a teacher you are very patient and understanding of how to walk your students through a course that is very new. You are good at what you teach.

  6. I leaned sooo much this semester. I leaned how to be more open and trusting toward people and many skills like tying knots and rappelling. I think you are a great outdoor adventure teacher. You know how to make things fun and you are very understanding and patient. Also you have done a really goo job of pushing people to the next level. Situations like rappelling upside down can be really hard for people, but you somehow get them to do it. Good job Mr. H!

  8. I learned to set aside my prejudices and be open to anything that might come up. Also, I learned to just try whatever scary thing you told us to do. I think you do a really good job in making everyone feel comfortable and trustful of one another.

  9. This semester I learned a lot. The amount of relationships I established in just one semester is crazy. I've learned to respect everyone because you I dont really know them until you have taken time to get to know them. I also learned about the do's and dont's of repelling! I feel cool now that I can jump down a wall. At the beginning of the year I didn't know what to expect from this class as an experience or you as a teacher. But as the year has progressed this has become one of those classes that I look forward to going to and talking to the teacher. You rock H!

  11. This semester has really been fun, but also a great learning experience. Not only did I learn how to go down walls, but I learned to be a lot more trusting of people through the numerous trust exercises. I also learned to be more willing to meet new people. I have never really had a gym class with this much bonding within a class. I was not sure what to expect exactly when I came into this class, but I was in for a great surprise!

  12. I've learned to be more open when getting to know new people and trying out new activities. All the activities we've done this semester have really allowed me to feel comfortable around everyone in our class. Mr. H, I think you do a really good job with setting the group atmosphere. The class bonding and experience sharing conversations feel sincere as opposed to cheesy. I also think it's awesome that you try your hardest to make time to connect with everyone individually. You are quick to give guidance to anyone struggling and your positive mood everyday puts everyone in a good mood!

  13. This semester has been especially interesting,as we are not a regular gym class only focused upon physical exercise. I liked how we were able to learn more about ourselves and also others. I was initially hesitant to be in this class at first but I found that I have really enjoyed it so far. Mr. H, you do a great job with letting us learn while having fun. I think you give good advice and help us all out.

  14. I learned to open up more this semester. I've never been particularly good at that. At the beginning of the semester I was really nervous that I wouldn't be able to find my place in this class but I think now I have. I think you did really well teaching us the team building exercises. You let us work out the problem spots on our own and then had us talk about it at the end. I can't think of improvements.

  15. I learned to trust those around me, despite the fact that I could be falling to my death (not really but I think of it that way)
I think you're good at emphasizing the fact that we should be comfortable and that we should have full knowledge of what we should be doing.

  16. I learned not to judge people by appearances, that everyone is pretty cool in the end, and if I'm afraid f something that means I should definitely should try it! I think you are a really good teacher and help keep the environment safe and fun!

  18. Ive learned many things not to judge others by appearance, to set goals and finding a way to actually complete them, and I got to know a lot of knee people. I think mr H taught this class really well it was organized well to do everything we needed to do to to trust each other and get to know one another better.

  19. I'm not going to lie, this class wasn't quite my cup of tea. I didn't like how much time we spent hoping over a rope, but that's a little cynical of me to say. On the big scale of things, it's a fun class, and I'll miss taking a break from a busy school day next semester. As a teacher, Mr. H, you've done an excellent job as a teacher. Both in this class most importantly, and in weights last year. Have a good semester, people!

  20. I love doing the team building stuff in this class, but now that we're doing adventury stuff I love the class even more. Mr h, I agree I think it'd be cool if you'd join in on team building stuff and also we could do without fitness days. Anna k

  22. We learned the true meaning of friendship. Rappelling was a pretty chill unit and we had to learn to trust eachother as we descended down the gym wall. Keep up the solid work, H

  23. I learned a lot about myself this semester. Typically, I am very outgoing and willing to try anything, but after my ACL early last year, I was a little worried about certain things. Sure, there are still things I couldn't do, but I participated as much as I could. H, I don't think you could improve on anyting. Just keep staying involved and geting to know the kids to figure out how far they can be pushed!
